Commander Io

My construction process for Io was fairly simple and straight forward. To start, I blocked out her head, body, and armor in Zbrush from Dynamesh spheres. Once the armor was blocked out to my liking, they were imported into 3DS Max where I used the Graphite Modeling tools to create the rough mesh. From there, they were imported back into Zbrush to refine using the zModeler tools.

When the high-poly sculpt was complete, the model was decimated and imported into 3DS Max. Here, I created the low-poly mesh using the Graphite Modeling tools. Once the model was unwrapped, I imported the .OBJ into Substance Painter for texturing. Each base material was created in Substance Designer prior to painting.

After the texturing process, the model was posed in Zbrush and imported into Marmoset Toolbag for the final viewing.
